WHERE TO PLAY SOCCER IN TORONTO.

Four ways for adults to get a game, from a drop-in tonight to the same team every Sunday.

Updated November 3, 2026 · Published by KICKR

01. City drop-in

Lowest costSet times most weeks

The City of Toronto runs drop-in soccer at community centres across the city. It is mostly small-sided gym soccer on a hardwood floor, so bring indoor court shoes, not cleats.

  • Adults buy a drop-in day pass or a multi-visit pass. Sessions are free at the City's free community recreation centres, and free for children and youth everywhere.
  • A few centres take bookings through Reserve a Spot. New spaces open Thursday mornings for the week after.
  • Read the session name before you go. Some slots are family or women's sessions.

Find this week's sessions on the City's Drop-in Sports Map.

Best for: playing cheap, close to home, with no commitment.

02. Book a pickup game

Most flexibleAny day of the week

Pickup apps and organizers book indoor and outdoor fields and sell spots one game at a time. You pick a time, pay, and show up.

  • GoodRec lists pickup games across Toronto every day, booked in its app.
  • Toronto Soccer League runs indoor pickup and leagues in Scarborough.
  • Meetup groups organize regular games. Search Meetup for soccer in Toronto.

Players change from game to game, so the level can too. Check the format, level and refund rules before you pay.

Best for: playing when your week allows.

03. KICKR Sunday nights. It's on.

Competitive soccer for adult men in Toronto. Come solo: teams are balanced by level and position, and there is a referee at every game. Win and you stay on. Venue announced soon.

04. Leagues and club teams

Full seasonA set night

Leagues run a set night for a season. Most expect you to register a team; some place individual players as free agents.

  • Co-ed and social: Toronto Sport & Social Club and JAM Toronto.
  • 7-a-side: Footy Sevens, in Toronto and Brampton.
  • 11-a-side with a club: TSSL (Toronto Services Soccer League), including an Over 35 division.
  • Neighbourhood house leagues: community clubs such as Toronto High Park FC.

Compare them side by side in the Toronto soccer leagues guide.

Best for: players with a crew who want a full season.

Coming on your own

New to the city, back after a few years, or the old group scattered? You don't need a team to play. City drop-in, pickup games and KICKR all take players on their own. With leagues, ask whether a free-agent spot is confirmed before you pay.

At KICKR, coming alone is the starting point. You join a team of seven, balanced by level and position.
